Trinity Health Dietary Supervisor in Wilmington, Delaware

Location: St Francis Healthcare, Wilmington, DE

Status: Full time

Shift: Mon to Fri, 7 am to 330 pm, no nights/weekends/holidays

Position Purpose:

The primary purpose of the Dietary Supervisor is to plan, organize and manage the daily operation of the Dietary Department within the PACE center.

What you will do:

  • Manage dietary expenses within budgetary limits and maintain documentation.

  • Ensure compliance with physician orders and nutritional plans.

  • Foster communication between dietary services and other departments.

  • Oversee kitchen maintenance/cleanliness, portion control, plate accuracy.

  • Manage therapeutic diets, including modifications per physician orders.

  • Supervise dietary aides in performance of all duties related to kitchen and dining areas.

  • Travel to PACE site in Newark to supervise/assist with dietary operations 1 - 2 times per week required.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate degree preferred.

  • 2 years of quantity food preparation experience in healthcare, hospitality, or retirement industry.

  • One (1) year of documented experience working with a frail or elderly population or if less than one (1) year, must receive appropriate training onsite.

  • Superior written/verbal communication and conflict management skills.

  • Ability to adapt to ongoing change regarding work priorities.

  • ServSafe Certification or receive within 3 months of employment.

  • Supervisor experience preferred.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.

  • Requires frequent kneeling, crouching, reaching, lifting, sitting, walking, bending and lifting. Ability to lift a minimum of 20 pounds when applicable.
