Responsibilities

  • Enthusiastically promote the brand by being an ambassador for Carhartt.

  • Develop a selling culture which encourages and supports the sales staff to provide a world class shopping experience.

  • Implement revenue building strategies to achieve store sales goals and performance metrics.

  • Promote an operational sound store environment through adherence to Carhartt’s policies and procedures.

  • Ensure all safety policies and practices are understood and applied consistently.

  • Execute and maintain visual merchandising standards consistent with company brand standards and directives.

  • Analyze local market trends to ensure an effective strategy exists to capture additional sales revenue through partnerships and event promotions.

  • Recruit, hire and on-board all new store associates with the support of the Retail HR Generalist and the store leadership team.

  • Create and maintain positive employee relations through building, leading and developing a quality store team.

  • Ensure on-going specific and immediate coaching and feedback, and delivery of all performance documentation in a timely manner.

  • Supervise and provide direction to all store associates.

  • Manage staff schedules effectively.

  • Foster an environment of inclusiveness and engagement

  • Train and develop supporting leadership with the support of HR and District Management

  • Champion the Carhartt at work program

  • All operational objectives are met specifically in regards to regards to expense control, loss prevention, and safety.

  • Store sales goals and performance metrics are met through the implementation of revenue building strategies.

  • Visual merchandising standards are consistent with company brand standards and directives.

  • Communication and feedback with corporate partners is effective and solution oriented.

  • Team is engaged around the Carhartt brand.

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree Required

Required Skills and Experience

  • 4+ years of retail management experience required – store manager experience preferred.

  • Retail Operations knowledge including: sales, customer service, merchandising, inventory control, store budget preparation and loss prevention.

  • Staff Development Experience: Knowledge in staffing, coaching, counseling, training and development.

  • Excellent organization, prioritization and communication skills.

  • Exceptional team and collaboration skills.

  • Excellent PC skills: POS Systems and Microsoft Office.
