WestRock Company Journeyman Mechanic in Twin Falls, Idaho
Job Description:
The Journeyman Mechanic primary responsibilities, with safety in mind, are to maintain, tests, and repairs electrical/electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems and components. Possessing welding and machining skills is a plus. Applies knowledge of electrical/electronic and mechanical principles in analytically determining equipment malfunctions and applies skills in restoring equipment to operation. Provides skilled mechanical and electrical/electronic support to all areas of manufacturing for a unionized plant. Primary duties include providing safe and timely mechanical and electrical support, preventative maintenance, installation, service, repair, troubleshooting and resolution of multiple operating machines within a manufacturing industrial environment.
How you will impact WestRock:
Provides maintenance information by using CMMS.
An operational knowledge of automated industrial machinery which includes; motors, servos, pumps, drives, relays, 3 phase power, communication devices, industrial / electronic controls and power transmission systems.
Use strong PLC trouble shooting and problem solving ability with practical, mechanical & electrical aptitude.
Read and interpret both electrical and mechanical drawings.
Maintain production equipment to a reliable level of production through preventative maintenance
Troubleshoot and repair equipment as needed
What you need to succeed:
The ideal candidate will have mechanical and electrical experience, a familiarity with hydraulics and pneumatics and have basic troubleshooting experience with proven ability of machine repair.
2-3 years of Electro-Mechanical Automation System Installation & Troubleshooting Experience
Must be computer literate with Microsoft environment.
High school diploma or equivalent
Ability to work independently in a mature and professional manner
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work various shifts / overtime / days per week
Military training and or Technical School preferred
