Leprino Foods Human Resources Generalist in Tracy, California

Within our Tracy, CA union manufacturing facility, we are seeking a highly qualifiedHuman Resources Generalistto help grow, mentor, and support the 300+ employees at our Tracy, CA production facility. Starting compensation for this role typically ranges between $80,000 and $94,000.

  • Support the day-to-day operations of the HR Department and provide advice, assistance, counseling, and follow-up on Company policies and procedures.

  • Lead employee engagement teams and activities.

  • Support employee relations practices necessary to establish a positive employer-employee relationship and promote a high level of employee morale and motivation.

  • Supports the development and implementation of plant-level Human Resources policies and practices, and manages day-to-day execution of plant and corporate-level policies and strategies to ensure consistent application.

  • Handles and resolves low-to-mid-level employee relation investigations and issues and escalates when necessary.

  • Assist with coordinating compliance and regulatory training for all employees.

  • Serves as the site subject matter expert on the company benefits program and provides day-to-day benefits administration services. Assists employees with claim issue resolution, as needed.

  • Coordinate and conduct benefit orientation and other benefits training, including the annual benefits open enrollment process for employees.

  • Facilitate, monitor, and maintain plant leave of absence processes.

  • Coordinates the locations recruiting efforts with business partners to ensure proper staffing levels are maintained within the plant, including development of employment advertisements and/or working with third-party staffing agencies as needed.

  • Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions.

  • Coordinate and facilitate the orientation and on-boarding process for new employees.

  • Oversee and maintain HRIS and be a site subject matter expert on processes related to SAP, Kronos Timekeeping, Success Factors recruiting system, and other human resources technology.

  • Cross-train with other team members and assist as needed.

    You Have At Least (Required Qualifications):

  • A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Organizational Development, or other similar disciplines.

  • 1 to 2 years of professional experience in Human Resources.

  • Familiar with Human Resources fundamentals and best practices, and the application of them in the workplace.

  • General knowledge of state and federal employment laws and practices.

  • Working knowledge of benefits and compensation programs.

  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite programs.

  • Demonstrated interpersonal and coaching skills.

  • Negotiating and problem resolution skills.

  • Willingness to support a 24-hour, 7-day food manufacturing facility.

    We Hope You Also Have (Preferred Qualifications):

  • Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or SHRM-CP certification.

  • Human Resources professional experience in a food manufacturing facility.

  • Experience working in a union environment.
