HP Inc. US Payroll Taxes Expert in Spring, Texas

Responsible for ensuring timely and accurate delivery and accounting of salaries, wages, commissions, and incentive payments.

Responsibilities:

  • Leads projects and coordinates multiple project team members responsible for all stages of the project including planning, requirements gathering, development, testing and go-live for payroll related projects.

  • Provides domain-specific expertise, leadership and perspective to cross-organization projects, programs, and activities.

  • Provides guidance and mentoring to junior staff members.

  • Ensure timely escalation of critical risks and issues.

  • Provide input to program manager and perform regular updates to the project plan and weekly status reporting.

  • Validate user testing plan schedule and responsible for testing activities if applicable.

  • Perform project phase closure and lesson learned documentation.

  • Continuous validation of additional milestones, activities and deliverables.

  • Manage training/user guides project materials repository.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Expertise of complex payroll and time tracking systems.

  • Ability to drive innovation and integration of new technologies into projects.

  • Ability to perform payroll inputs and outputs and gap analysis to identify how to streamline or automate processes.

  • In-depth process knowledge and research to generate new opportunities.

  • Knowledge in Payroll, Employer Tax

  • Desirable knowledge in GlobalView (ADP) system;

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; mastery in English and local language.

  • Ability to effectively communicate and negotiate options at senior management levels.

Impact and Scope:

  • Impact of decisions can often alter project timelines and resource allocation.

  • Proactively and effectively interacts and partners across different departments within and outside payroll function.

  • Escalation Level 1 for project deliverables.

Complexity:

  • Moderate to high.

  • Leads medium to large, cross-division functional teams or projects that affect the organization's long-term goals and objectives.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant area or demonstrated competence. Typically 6-8 years of experience
