Location: Spokane, Washington Type: Full Time, Temporary Volunteer Compensation: $3,561.90 Monthly Stipend Work Schedule: Full-time, Monday - Friday 7:30am - 4:00pm (Flexible start and end times depending on scheduling needs. This is an in-person position.) As a Workforce Development Mentor - AmeriCorps Volunteer, you'll... help connect employees with resources to reduce the barriers they experience and will help with job mentoring to become financially independent. The member will be supporting employees with intense job support and assisting with barriers such as food insecurity, job qualities, professionalism, and hygiene. Typical duties include but are not limited to: Write curriculum and teach classes in Life Skills, Financial Skills, and Self-Care. Mentor employees at our commercial services warehouse and various federal facilities in Spokane, and on Fairchild Air Force Base. Find, build, and maintain at least four employer connections during service term. Summary of desired skills and experience for the Skookum Workforce Development Mentor - AmeriCorps Volunteer: No previous experience required. Teamwork, Computers/Technology, Teaching/Tutoring skills preferred. A valid state driver's license is required with the ability to obtain and maintain coverage by Skookum's insurance. Must be able to obtain and maintain applicable security clearances and installation access. A background check and E-Verify will be conducted for this position.
