Do you have the business savvy and the technical background necessary to help establish Amazon as a key technology platform provider?

As a Program Manager at Amazon Web Services Korea you will have the exciting opportunity to support sales organization to drive the growth and shape the future of an emerging technology. Your responsibilities will include driving adoption, revenue, and market penetration across multiple sales segments. You should also be a self-starter who is prepared to develop and execute programs/projects aligned with organization’s strategic goals, and ultimately to accelerate customer’s adoption of AWS products and services, increasing our market segment share out of uncovered/greenfield market and increasing the long-term revenue potential for AWS.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for:

• Developing programs to support the organization's strategic direction aligning with the mission and goals of the organization

• Leading the execution of organization’s strategic plan that can operationalize best practices in the programs

• Planning overall programs pertaining to program roadmap to represent the details of the upcoming work and a timeline for completing it

• Defining the purposes of the programs with the processes and metrics to assess its progress.

• Identifying right resources and effectively utilize the resources for programs

• Developing a budget and operating plan for the program as well as program documentation

• Monitoring cross-functional dependencies, identifying any bottlenecks, and visualize progress

• Ensuring the programs to drive the highest level of efficiency by providing clear directions of producing Input and output

• Developing improvement process to continue evolving the programs to be more simplified & efficient in terms of resources, tools, process and leading cycle

• Managing detailed discussion effectively with stakeholders to drive business results and outcomes

• Involving in resolving conflicts, building consensus and influencing decisions with the senior management level at the program level

• Delivering clear and concise message in verbal and written communication within the organization

About the team

ales, Marketing and Global Services (SMGS)

AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector. The AWS Global Support team interacts with leading companies and believes that world-class support is critical to customer success. AWS Support also partners with a global list of customers that are building mission-critical applications on top of AWS services.

We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:

Seoul, KOR

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years of program or project management experience

  • 7+ years of working experience in the areas of sales, business development, consulting or program/project management

  • Posses structured communication skills that enables to lead communications with multiple stakeholders

  • Should be proficient in languages both in Korean and English

  • Have a demonstrated ability to think strategically and analytically towards both business and challenges

  • Possess a track record of building and conveying compelling value propositions

  • Demonstrated operational excellence experience including data analysis and tools, as well as data driven problem-solving skills and experience with simplifying complexity and developing scalable propositions

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in IT industry would be a plus

  • Passion for cloud technologies – working knowledge and experience in cloud computing

  • Operational excellence mind-set and experience.

  • Ability to effectively lead and work with a variety of organizations, management levels, cultures, and personalities.
