Role Overview
The Collator Operator is responsible for maintaining the operation of the Collating machine, troubleshooting malfunctions and loading, assembling and packing collated nails, and paying extra attention to safety, quality, and productivity. The role involves significant physical exertions such as moving up and down stairs, bending, lifting, carrying items, pushing and pulling, griping, etc. Safety is our # 1 priority.
Shift Premiums are provided for the required shift assigned. All applicants must be able to work the shifts outlined below:
Day Shift: 5:00 am to 1:30 pm - No Shift premium
Swing Shift: 1:30 pm to 10:00 pm - Shift premium
Night Shift: 9:00 pm to 5:30 am - Shift premium
Compensation
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $20.00 per hour
Work setting: In-person, on-site

Examples of Duties
Operate Collating machine to meet production standards
Troubleshoot when machine malfunctions; making adjustments to ensure quality and productivity targets are achieved
Operate forklift to remove completed pallets
Operate a staple gun
Set up the machine, which includes glue and plastic
Load and operate bulk feeder assemblies
Pack nail strips into 45-lb to 95-lb cartons
Stack packed boxes onto pallets
Assemble cardboard boxes
Apply proper identifying label
What You'll Bring
2-years of manufacturing experience
Able to update shop floor computer
Able to lift 50 lbs
Must be a team player
Good communication skills
Must speak and read English
Forklift certification is a plus
