Our Team is growing and we need more help! With our increased demand we are seeking to add a talented Manufacturing Maintenance Mechanic Training of Swing Shift. Must have super powers of diagnosing/trouble shooting factory food production machinery as well general maintenance. If you have these skills, we would love to start a conversation! Responsibilities Maintain all manufacturing machines, buildings & equipment & the continued operational condition. Assist in the general manufacturing maintenance of forklifts, automobiles & other equipment. Eliminate or minimize downtime related to food processing & all machinery failure, by ongoing practice of preventive maintenance. Specify equipment requirements & work with vendors in a professional, effective manner. Perform necessary parts pick-up or other manufacturing maintenance related functions. Perform duties as assigned. This position is Graveyard Shift, but employee should be available as workload demands. May include other shifts and/or partial shifts. Required Skills A minimum of 3 years\' experience as a full charge manufacturing maintenance mechanic in a plant of similar size. Demonstrate working knowledge of welding (all types), boilers, air compressors, and hydraulics. Knowledge of manufacturing plant operations & necessary maintenance & knowledge/skills to troubleshoot & repair equipment, including pneumatics & hydraulics. Able to maintain & repair automobiles & forklifts. Able to lift, carry, slide, push, or pull up to 75 pounds. Able to bend, twist, squat, kneel, & move freely as a given repair or situation requires. Demonstrate sufficient manual dexterity to effectively utilize tools & other small hardware & associated tools as needed. Able to climb stairs & ladders, as the plant has multiple mezzanines & ladders to access machinery. Able to stand, sit, or walk up to 8 hours per day. Able to freely access all areas of the plant & surrounding property. Able to tolerate heights, dust, noise, and extreme weather conditions including heat, cold, rain, sleet, hail & snow. Able to operate a forklift & be certified by a NIOSH or OSHA approved program. Well organized & able to adhere to schedules & timetables while ensuring emergency maintenance measures are taken promptly & thoroughly. Able to demonstrate physical ability to operate, cutting equipment, machine tools, & electrical testing equipment. Able to interact & communicate in a constructive manner with individuals of all ethnic, cultural, & linguistic backgrounds. Willing to answer emergency maintenance or repair calls any time of a day including weekends & holidays. Education and Experience Completion of an accredited high school equivalency program. Minimum 2 years additional training in a technical program including mechanics, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, concrete, welding, metal Maintenance, drive systems, maintenance of heavy machinery, & automotive repair. Substitution for Education 5 years practical experience maintaining all aspects of a manufacturing plant or production facility, including responsibility for maintenance of machinery, electrical, sensors and control systems.
