Description Robert Half is seeking an ambitious, experienced Staff Accountant for a permanent position within a prestigious Construction/Contractor company. The Staff Accountant will prepare journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance and general ledger reconciliation. During the monthly close, you will also be responsible for many aspects of internal reporting. You will assist in developing and implementing accounting policies. In addition, you will participate in compliance, interact with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and review schedules for the reporting processes. This position is very involved as it will produce Financial Statements, Cash Flow projections, and Budgets. Responsibilities

• In-depth experience with reconciling month end balance sheet accounts

• Recurring journal entries maintenance and reconciliation

• Intercompany billings, transactions, and reconciliation

• Support the month end, quarter end and year end closing process, which includes monthly financial close workbook preparation

• Contribute to the implementation, maintenance and adherence to internal controls and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with GAAP

• Special projects and impromptu reporting, upon request

• Survey and organize various financial data, reporting it in a useful and understandable manner

• Participate in various department-wide initiatives

• Compose thorough journal entries and account reconciliations which include, but are not limited to, cash, prepaid expenses, and payroll

• Manage reconciliation, depreciation, and fixed asset ledgers

• Maintain capital lease and monthly payment schedules

• Assemble analyses for monthly balance sheets and income statements for management reporting

• Perform month end close, journal entries, with minimum supervision Requirements

• Ability to thrive in a dynamic, high pressure environment, to prioritize deals and adapt to quick changes while remaining diligent

• Proficient in ERP systems

• Competent with spreadsheets and databases

• Recent and relevant accounting experience

• BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics

• Demonstrated ability in exemplary analytical, quantitative and social skills

• Dedication and requisite skills to meet critical business deadlines

• Strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills

• Self-starter and strong ethical standards

• Observant, accurate and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment

• Working knowledge of spreadsheets and databases

• GAAP Accounting experience highly desired

• Prior experience with Collaboration

• Attendance experience preferred

• Hands-on experience with Consumer Electronics

• Demonstrated knowledge of Workstation Support

• Operations experience

• Previous experience working with Methods

• Foundational knowledge in Balance Sheet Account

• Experience with time management

• Adeptness in finance

• Policy experience preferred

• General ledger experience highly preferred

• Comprehensive knowledge of data entry

• General familiarity with budgeting

• Background working with financial reporting

• Practical knowledge of Perform Ad Hoc Financial

• Deep understanding of Company Policy

• Comprehension of Discrepancy

• Teamwork experience desired

• Good understanding of Engineering

• Strong familiarity with procedures
