Amazon Supply Chain Specialist, Reusables, Global Procurement Organization (GPO) in Nashville, Tennessee

As a Supply Chain Specialist for the Global Procurement Operations Reusables Team (GPORT), you will be responsible for implementing supply chain execution plans and tracking them rigorously while assisting in the modeling of the supply chain, building and communicating reports, creating concise analysis, and communicating the daily path forward to internal and external partners.

Key areas of responsibility include execution of hub-and-spoke operations, maintenance cycle, transportation movements, researching and analyzing constraints, participation in pilots, create methodology and standard work for the organization, and partnering with stakeholders to build tools and automated reporting.

A successful candidate will have a strong blend of an operational execution mindset, project management skills, with the ability to conduct in-depth analyses, think big, and identify strategic opportunities.

Key job responsibilities

o Manage hub-and-spoke operations through internal and external workflows.

o Implement improvements and execute on plans that feed the overall reusables’ ecosystem.

o Identifying issues or barriers in order ¬to facilitate timely resolution and minimize/eliminate potential negative operational impact.

o Establishing effective vendor management processes to improve quality, optimize costs, mitigate risks, and drive innovation and collaboration.

o Tracking program performance over time, by comparing key metrics and KPIs against established goals or benchmarks.

o Building spreadsheets and tools to analyze data, automate certain tasks and improve productivity.

o Leading meetings or contributing solutions and constructive ideas to key stakeholders.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent

  • 1+ years of program or project management experience

  • 1+ years of supply chain experience

  • 1+ year of working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams experience

  • 1+ year of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience

  • 1+ year of Data Analyst or Research Analyst experience (Mastery of Excel and SQL)

  • 1+ year of experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of program or project management experience

  • 3+ years of supply chain experience

  • Knowledge of Lean principles and DMAIC methodology

  • Knowledge of SQL

  • 3+ years of building processes experience.

  • 3+ years of working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams experience

  • 3+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience

  • 3+ years of supply chain experience

  • Advanced knowledge of Excel and SQL

  • Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements
