KBR Quantity Surveyor in Luanda, Angola

Quantity Surveyor

KBR is providing Project Management Services encompassing Engineering, Procurement, phase execution supporting KBR’s client Sonangol’s multi-billion-dollar grass roots Lobito Refinery Project in Angola Africa. KBR’s Project Management Team is responsible for the overall management of the Owner’s EPC Contractor’s contract.

KBR is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to be the Project Management Company (PMC) representative. This role will be assigned to PMC Angola based team. This role will be responsible for measuring and evaluating installed quantities against plan for construction projects. The Quantity Surveyor will work closely with project managers, architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure projects are completed within budget and in compliance with relevant regulations and standards.

This position will be on site in Angola

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor construction progress by measuring and evaluating installed quantities against the plan

  • Ensure contract compliance and consolidate and coordinate that information to the project team

  • Support the weekly and monthly project progress meetings

  • Lead the input of figures and supporting narrative for the monthly Project Management Review (PMR) meeting

  • Prepare any Defined progress audit queries for the Auditor

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree or equivalent

  • 10 + years of construction progress measurement experience with Civil Construction Craft experience strongly preferred

  • Competency in performing quality audits in the field

  • Able to perform quantity take-offs from engineering drawings

  • Proven ability in the validation of contractors reported progress

  • Strong people skills required
