Qualifications: * Preference given to prior experience working for local government. * Valid driver\'s license and reliable personal vehicle in order to make bank deposits and attend occasional required meeting and/or trainings. * Bondable. * Must be very familiar with Microsoft Office Suite and QuickBooks. Advanced Excel and QuickBooks skills desired. * Utility billing software experience desired. * Excellent interpersonal skills and communication. Duties: * Facilitates public relations between the citizens and the City government. * Serves as clerk to the City Council. * Prepares the agenda for the monthly council meeting and/or special sessions. * Organizes new business at the meetings and maintains accurate records of all business proceedings of the council. * Advises council on public meeting procedures, ordinances and resolutions. * Takes and prepares the minutes of all meetings. * Maintains the City website. * Uploads monthly council meeting agenda and minutes. * Updates the site as necessary. * Custodian for the City charter, ordinances, resolutions, deeds and contracts. * Handles all zoning and local planning requests and questions. Prepares documents for submission to the county authorities. * Responsible for monthly water billing for the city. Handles past due accounts and assists with water shut-offs. Enters water meter readings into water billing software. Issues monthly water billing to citizens. * Serves as accounts payable and receivable clerk. Completes monthly payroll and payroll taxes. Pays all bills with QuickBooks software. Makes weekly bank deposits. Follows all Oregon State mandates and Governmental Accounting Standards Board. * Produces the City\'s annual budget according to the Oregon Department of Revenue\'s Local Budget Law. * Leads the planning for the annual 4th of July Parade. * Maintains the City office. Purchases all office supplies and keeps the City office clean and neat. * Completes other duties assigned by Mayor or Council. Schedule: * Up to 16 hours per week (flexible schedule) and one monthly council meeting (evening). Wage: * \$20.00 - \$23.00 per hour, depending on experience. **This position will be open until filled. First review of applicants will be May 17th**
