To succeed in this role, you will need to prepare journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance, and general ledger reconciliation and be responsible for many aspects of internal reporting during the monthly close. Participation in compliance, interaction with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and reviewing schedules reporting processes are also expected tasks. Those with a complex understanding of Financial Statements, Cash Flow projections, and Budgets are preferred.

How you will make an impact

• Produce journal entries and perform the month end close under minimal supervision

• Thorough experience with month end balance sheet account reconciliations

• Take part in various department-wide initiatives

• Prepare complex journal entries and account reconciliations including but not limited to cash, prepaid expenses and payroll

• Manage intercompany billings, transactions, and reconciliation

• Organize schedules for monthly payments and capital lease

• Support the month end, quarter end and year end closing process by preparing monthly financial close workbooks

• Implement, maintain, and adhere to internal controls and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with GAAP

• Manage depreciation, fixed asset ledgers, and reconciliation

• Ad hoc reporting and performing special projects upon request

• Coordinate and analyze a variety of financial data, then report it in a way that is useful and understandable

• Regular maintenance and reconciliation of journal entries

• Compose analyses for income statements and monthly balance sheets for management reporting Requirements - Proficient in ERP systems

• Strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills required

• BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics

• Working knowledge of spreadsheets and databases

• Seizes opportunities to produce results without direct supervision

• Comfortable working in a changing and dynamic environment

• 3+ years of recent and relevant accounting experience

• Dedication and requisite skills to meet critical business deadlines

• Exceptional analytical, quantitative and social skills

• Attention to detail and proven ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement

• Proficient with spreadsheets and databases

• Accounting close process experience desired
