Position Summary

As a Senior Supervisor, Warehouse for Energizer’s Rassau Auto Care division, you will be responsible for directing, supervising, and coordinating warehouse operations of the plant to meet safety, quality, delivery, cost, inventory, accuracy and continuous improvement objectives.

Provides materials, equipment, and supplies by leading the receiving, warehousing, and distribution services for the manufacturing facility. This professional multitasker will manage and oversee the receiving, handling, storing, picking, and packing activities within the warehouse, ensuring quality standards are met at every turn. You are exceptionally detail oriented, and able to track multiple facets of the warehouse at any given time. You must achieve inventory accuracy, coordinate orders, and track shipping times, ultimately overseeing the fulfilment of product orders.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include the following:

  • Completes warehouse operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results.

  • Formulate and implement standard procedures and plans based on comparative analyses, methods, and costs.

  • Coach, mentor and train colleagues to execute roles effectively in accordance to goals.

  • Drive for world class quality, safety and material flow utilizing root cause corrective action methodology and research tools.

  • The individual is responsible to effectively communicate with his/her staff, management and external visitors at all times.

  • Facilitate a continuous improvement culture by instilling Plan, Do, Check, Act methodology.

  • Promote and create a work environment conducive to employee morale, motivation, and teamwork.

  • Drive broader functional knowledge expertise and learning with all individuals on the team.

  • Controls inventory levels by conducting physical counts; reconciling with data the company’s stock.

  • Delegate goals to team and shift leads consistent with scope and capacity of processes and people.

  • Maintains physical condition of warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts; inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement.

  • Achieves financial objectives by preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analysing variances; initiating corrective actions.

What we are looking for

Ideally you will have the following:

  • Strong analytical skills with demonstrated ability to solve complex problems and make recommendations.

  • Good overall understanding of supply chain process flows.

  • Excel skills with ability to analyze data and make recommendations

  • Ability to multitask and successfully develop and execute plans in a dynamic environment.

  • Excellent interpersonal & communication skills with the ability to work across all levels of the organization.

  • Degree or equiv. in education and experience in a materials, transportation, mfg. planning, supervisory or distribution capacity.

  • Previous experience driving culture and developing a team.

  • Strong experience adhering to metrics and KPI’s around safety, quality, and cost

  • Strong facilitation and communication skills
