Key Objective(s):

The main purpose of the IT Systems Administrator is:

• To execute the daily operations of systems and network administration needs of the organization. This includes and not limited to the management and maintenance of server and operating systems virtual management consoles, network management consoles and security devices. The IT Systems Administrator will also perform Second Level Support escalated from the IT Support Center

  Primary Responsibilities:

• Mac, Windows OS/Server, Linux based systems maintenance and updates/patching

• Active Directory and LDAP credential maintenance

• User access monitoring and maintenance

• Primary lead on PRTG monitoring and maintenance

• Backup management and maintenance

• Scripting in Powershell/Python/Bash

• Microsoft Hyper V and VM Ware and V Sphere maintenance

• IT design implementation and management of Linux-based systems and operating systems

• Cross system patch scheduling, deployment, and oversight

• Escalation Support from ITSM ticketing

• IT Security committee member

• On call coverage participation

  Desired Qualifications:

• Job holder may be called upon to provide support for service issues or failures at any time.

• Proven knowledge of technical infrastructure, networks, databases, and systems.

• Active Directory planning, deployment, and support experience. Microsoft Certification is highly desirable.

• Knowledge of Grafana Loki and other open source systems

• Proficiency in scripting in Powershell/Python/Bash

• Basic knowledge of networking (ARP/DHCP/DNS) and executing updates within security layer

• Experience with PRTG or simuilar alerting systems

• Proficiency with Netdisco and Infoblox

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science related subject required with a minimum of 5 years of experience, or technical degree with 8-10 years of equivalent experience and credentials.

• Must have a proven ability to work cooperatively in a team environment, and with a variety of individuals from diverse backgrounds.

• Regular, reliable, and consistent attendance.

• Perform other duties as assigned

  Physical Job Requirements:

• Must be able to lift at least 25 pounds.

• Sitting for extended periods of time.

• Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, power tools, and to handle other computer components
