Job Description Summary:

The Associate Payroll Analyst position is responsible for supporting our global payroll process.

This role will require establishing a strong working relationship with the payroll team, human resources, benefits, sales compensation, and third-party payroll partners. This position will also foster relationships with internal stakeholders such as Tax, Legal, Finance and IT.

This role is ideally suited for someone with the ability to support the team as they process payroll globally, influence, and effectively communicate cross-functionally in a fast-paced, growing, and ever-changing environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

• Payroll Support: Support Americas payroll processing including the U.S., Canada and Brazil. There will be opportunity to support APAC and EMEA payrolls as well. Work closely with third-party payroll partners on executing payrolls on biweekly, semi-monthly and monthly basis (depending on country).

• Payroll Processing & Controls: Follow proper reviews for payroll output from payroll partners. This includes ensuring all payroll inputs are accurately captured. Includes, but not limited to, performing payroll analysis such as total gross payroll to net payment, the average paid per headcount by country, and comparison of analysis to the prior period, etc.

• Employee experience: Respond to employee inquiries and serve as a liaison between employee and third-party providers; educate and counsel employees on how to use self-service tools and address issues that fall outside the scope of self-service, including updating elections, bank account, hourly time tracking and overtime.

• Being diligent and complaint to the payroll process manual / procedures.

• Third parties: Engage with third-party vendors (including international payroll providers) and the preparation, analysis, and maintenance of all payroll related reports, including governmental and regulatory filings.

• Cross-functional partnerships: Work with internal partners in Human Resources/ Recruiting/ Strategic Finance/ Legal to facilitate and improve the payroll processes, including benefits and withholdings (e.g., leave of absence, employee benefits, retirement and leave balances, flexible spending accounts, etc.)

• Payroll Reconciliation and Validation: Review all payroll reporting and ensure accurate and timely filing with appropriate government authorities.

• Year-End: Assist with the annual preparation and delivery of yearly forms as required within the jurisdictions

• Ad hoc Payroll support as and when needed.

Required Qualifications:

• Systems: Workday (or equivalent ERP), activpayroll, UKG, and ADP Celergo payroll vendor experience a plus.

• Excel (think pivot tables and lookups) a definite plus

• Process Oriented: Strong understanding of payroll processes and best practices. Excellent management and organizational skills.

• Technical skills: General knowledge of payroll-related state, legal, tax, and compliance requirements

• Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills needed to interface and establish rapport with all levels of the organization including executive team members.

Preferred Qualifications:

• A proactive, high-energy attitude geared towards achieving continuous improvement.

• Flexibility: Ability to operate in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving, and data-driven organization.

• Entrepreneurial; someone who wants to help improve the global payroll process

• Preferred location in US Eastern or US Central time zones

Education:

• BS degree or equivalent preferred.

The base salary range for this role is $60,847.00 - $76,059.00 /year. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.
