  • Assist in overseeing daily operations of the Cytogenetics laboratory including technical troubleshooting, ensuring compliance with laboratory policies and standard operating procedures, regulations imposed by the State of Illinois, and CAP and CLIA certification requirements
  • Assist in the development of new tests and clinical assay validations
  • Communicate with genetic counselors and referring providers as needed
  • Work with the Section Director on quality initiatives, test development and utilization, and overall improvement of clinical services provided by the Cytogenetics laboratory

Candidates will have a PhD, MD, or MD/PhD degree. Experience in clinical cytogenetics is highly desired but newly certified or board eligible LGG candidates will be considered. Candidates must have strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work both independently and as part of a diverse and dynamic team.
