Description We are seeking an Accounting Clerk to join our team in the non-profit sector. Based in Chicago, Illinois, this role offers a short-term contract employment opportunity. As an Accounting Clerk, you will be responsible for various accounting projects, bank reconciliations, and entering vendor invoices. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and a team-player attitude are essential for this role.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct bank reconciliations to ensure all financial data is accurate.

• Enter vendor invoices in a timely and precise manner.

• Assist in copying and organizing essential documents.

• Handle IRS W-9 forms and related tasks.

• Contribute to various accounting projects as required.

• Utilize Microsoft Excel for data management and analysis.

• Collaborate effectively with the team to achieve accounting objectives.

• Maintain a flexible schedule to meet accounting deadlines.

• Adhere to accounting standards and regulations.

• Provide support in other accounting tasks as needed. Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Accounting Clerk role or similar

• Proficiency in Bank Reconciliations and Balance Sheet Account Reconciliation is required.

• Ability to accurately Enter Vendor Invoices

• Experience with IRS W-9 Forms

• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel

• Familiarity with non-profit industry standards and regulations

• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field is preferred
