Job Summary:

This role is responsible for providing business analysis and reporting to field sales, sales management, and other cross functional departments within the organization. Remote candidates must be located in EST to be considered

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a functional expert to management by providing accurate, consistent, and actionable analytics.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather, analyze, and interpret commercial data, including revenue, pricing, product performance, and customer behavior.

  • Provide insights through business-friendly recommendations resulting from comprehensive analysis.

  • Analyze market / competitor trends to provide guidance for forecasting, new product launches and commercial strategy.

  • Identify trends, patterns, and opportunities in sales data to support strategic decision-making and enhance sales effectiveness.

  • Work with peer teams, pricing, sales, and marketing to align and execute strategy.

  • Develop reporting to track the effectiveness of strategies, provide insights to commercial team. Suggest corrective actions as indicated.

  • Provide root-cause analysis of KPIs to support business reviews with leadership.

  • Continuously interact with the sales team, customers, and others with relevant expertise to gain qualitative insights about Dentsply Sirona and its stance in the dental industry.

  • Gain company and industry knowledge as needed to fulfill roles and responsibilities.

  • Apply statistical models and other advanced analytical techniques to solve complex problems.

  • Work alongside technical resources to scale your work through process automation and self-service solutions.

  • Write SQL queries to combine and shape disparate data for analysis.

  • Develop Power BI reports for interactive analytical output.

  • Develop a strong understanding of the internal data environment and the limitations and capabilities throughout. Create business cases supporting the need for additional sources or changes to these systems.

  • Challenge the status quo while respecting the involved process of change.

  • Demonstrates initiative to resolve problems and find creative solutions to challenges.

  • Provide ad-hoc analysis, reporting and data interpretation to key internal customers as necessary.

  • Ensure accuracy of work and follow all compliance policies and procedures.

  • Acts within scope of authority and consistent with company and corporate objectives, guidelines, policies, and practices.

  • Perform other duties as required by management.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from an accredited college or technical school

Years and Type of Experience:

  • 3+ years of relevant work experience in an analytic role.

  • 2+ years working with or around machine learning or statistical models.

  • 2+ years writing SQL with complex joins in relational databases.

  • 2+ years building and using BI tools like Tableau or Power BI.

  • Experience working in an Azure-Databricks cloud environment preferred.

  • Remote role, but candidate must live and work in EST time zone

Key Required Skills, Knowledge, and Capabilities:

  • Excel power user, including Power Pivot, Data Analysis.

  • Familiarity with advanced analytics tools such as Python, R, or SQL for data manipulation, statistical analysis, and modeling

  • Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, or QlikView to create interactive dashboards and reports that convey insights effectively.

  • Understanding of the diverse types of machine learning models and the ability to determine which can be applied to solve a complex problem.

  • Mathematical skills must be strong to perform calculations, understand concepts and correlations and to validate data outcomes.

  • Process oriented, ability to scale analytical output and reduce repetitive work.

  • Results oriented. Excellent time management skills with a focus on meeting deadlines.

  • Advanced critical thinking skills to solve complex problems systematically.

  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers and other internal business partners.

  • Curiosity to ask for more context and understanding from stakeholders. Ability to see the forest through the trees and add value above the initial request.

  • Willingness to stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in business intelligence, analytics, and sales operations.

  • Manage complex, multi-stage projects spanning over several months.

  • Ability to collaborate with multiple cross functional teams.

  • Ability to respect and maintain the confidential nature of information collected and shared.

  • Must display interpersonal skills and ability to interact with internal customers, and other stakeholders in a professional and tactful manner.

  • Proficient in Word and PowerPoint

  • Exhibits a high degree of professionalism and resilience.

  • Strong results orientation with a continual customer focus

  • High degree of integrity and ethics

The base salary for this remote role is between $85,000 - $120,000. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific office location.
