Job/Position DescriptionThe SharePoint Operations Analyst (Data Analyst III) is selected by and reports to Director of Data Research and Support The position performs moderately complex data analysis and data research work in support of investigative and audit functions for the Office of the Inspector General (OIG). Work involves the design, development, implementation and maintenance of the OIG SharePoint sites. The SharePoint sites and dashboards are used to track and monitor workflow and assignments, and for electronic data exchange with internal and external entities. Supports collaboration of technology initiatives, builds and administers all SharePoint portals, workflow tools, team sites and all related technologies. The SharePoint Operations Analyst will support all business areas with the objective to maximize effective communications and business processes using SharePoint, Tableau, and other BI technologies. under limited supervision, with moderate latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. * This position can telework 100% from locations within Texas consistent with HHS telework policies. May need to occasionally report to the office to attend in-person meetings.*Essential Job FunctionsResponsible for the design, development, implementation and maintenance of the OIG SharePoint sites. Add/Delete/Modify user rights within SharePoint. Enhance SharePoint using out-of-the-box features: SharePoint Designer, Visual Studio, and/or third-party technologies. Regular review, cleanup, management and configuration of SharePoint content and sites. Support and maintain software integration between SharePoint and other in-house business applications. (50%)Effectively train, troubleshoot and provide user support for all users of SharePoint. Monitor SharePoint trends (e.g. site usage and growth, disk space usage and growth). Work with team to develop user friendly front-end processes and dashboards. Work with cross functional business areas to develop process improvements using SharePoint. Consults with management on and makes recommendations for the most useful ways to integrate SharePoint in OIG business practices. (30%)Maintain operational documentation detailing technical environment, configuration and support processes for all SharePoint activities and sites. (15%)Performs other duties necessary to achieve the mission of the Office of the Inspector General. Statewide travel of about 5% may be required. (5%) Registrations, Licensure Requirements or CertificationsEXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION Experience administering or power use of SharePoint preferred. Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework in data science, business analytics, computer science, computer information systems, management information systems, accounting, or a related field is required.
