A Technical Delivery Manager is responsible for overseeing the delivery of technical projects or services within an organization. This role involves coordinating and managing the activities of technical teams to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and according to specifications. This role ensures that transition projects adhere to all required governance processes, utilize the correct tools and that client and internal stakeholders’ requirements are met.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Project Planning: Collaborating with stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables. Developing project plans, timelines, and resource allocation strategies.

  • Team Management: Leading and guiding technical teams, including developers, engineers, and other specialists. Assigning tasks, setting priorities, and ensuring that team members have the resources and support needed to meet project goals.

  • Risk Management: Identifying potential risks and issues that may impact project delivery. Developing risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans to address challenges as they arise.

  • Quality Assurance: Monitoring project progress and ensuring that deliverables meet quality standards and specifications. Conducting reviews, testing, and validation to identify and resolve defects or deficiencies.

  • Client Communication: Serving as the primary point of contact for clients or stakeholders regarding project status, progress updates, and issue resolution. Managing expectations and fostering positive relationships with clients throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Budget Management: Tracking project expenses, resource utilization, and budgetary constraints. Managing financial resources effectively to ensure that projects are completed within approved budgets.

  • Continuous Improvement: Evaluating project performance and identifying opportunities for process improvement, efficiency gains, and innovation. Implementing best practices and lessons learned to enhance future project delivery.

  • Plays a critical role in driving successful project outcomes by effectively managing resources, mitigating risks, and maintaining alignment with business objectives and client expectations.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • Excellent knowledge of project management methodologies, tools and standards (both Waterfall and Agile)

  • Ability to balance delivery with agreed and contracted expectations

  • Effective and professional leadership and people management skills

  • Ability to professionally handle complaints, problems and issues, managing resolutions and corrective actions

  • Ability to develop and enhance client and stakeholder relationships

  • In-depth understanding of IT industry and expertise on transition management approaches and methodologies

  • Good collaboration skills and with the ability to interact professionally

  • Ability to coach and nurture a team

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science or Information Technology

  • 3-5 Years previous management experience

  • ITIL certified

  • PMBOK and/or Prince II Certification(s)

  • Advanced years of experience within Service Transitioning / Project management

  • Advanced demonstrable experience in applying, managing and executing transition management approaches and applicable methodologies

  • Advanced relevant specific experience in services transitioning within a large enterprise environment

  • Demonstrated experience in compiling and managing a budget

  • Advanced experience in managing stakeholder relationships, including clients and vendors

  • Advanced experience in leading and managing a team and allocating resources

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Primarily walking, sitting, standing, and bending.

  • Able to hear and speak on a telephone.

  • Close visual work on a computer terminal.

  • Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate any required to operate computer keyboard, mouse, other technical instruments, and for performing cable terminations and testing.

WORK CONDITIONS & OTHER REQUIREMENTS

  • This position is expected to be remote for the near future with an occasional need to be on-site in a shared work environment

  • Extensive daily usage of workstation or computer.

  • Must be available for 24x7 support of customers and NTT GDC Americas, Inc.

  • Some travel as required. Travel requirements may vary based on the frequency and intensity of remote site operations.

  • Must possess a current, valid state-issued driver’s license.

This is a remote position that requires reliable internet connection and electricity. A monthly stipend is provided to cover expenses associated with working remotely and use of a personal mobile device, if applicable.

NTT Global Data Centers Americas, Inc. offers competitive compensation based on experience, education, and location. Base salary for this position is $128,800 - $191,000

All regular full-time employees are eligible for an annual bonus; payout is dependent upon individual and company performance.
