Position Summary:
(a federal government contractor) is seeking a qualified Project Manager (Hospital Housekeeping) to plan, perform, and integrate efforts for the Alaska Veterans Affairs and guidance for implementation of projects. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of Project Management, Hospital Housekeeping, Organizational Development, and Organizational Behavior best practices.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The Project Manager performs enterprise-wide horizontal integration planning in the effective management, direction, and implementation of projects. Relevant experience includes, but is not limited to, experience in managing projects, contracts, funds, and resources to include managing a diverse group of functional activities, and subordinate groups of technical and administrative personnel. The Project Manager serves as the leader of a contract and assists in working with the Government's COR, other Government management personnel, and customer agency representatives. The Project Manager is responsible for the overall management of the contract and ensuring the technical solutions and schedules in the task order are implemented in a timely manner.
The Project Manager will perform the following:
Manage projects, contracts, funds, and resources to include managing a diverse group of functional activities, assigned responsibilities, managed efforts, and completion of tasking by groups of technical and administrative personnel.
Shall be responsible for the performance of work, contract compliance, and quality control of contracts.
Serves as a leader of contracts, provides information to assist Government points-of-contact, to include the Contracting Officer (KO) and Contracting Officer's Representative (COR), other Government management personnel, and customer agency representatives.
Responsible for the overall management of the contract and meeting timelines and deadlines to provide technical solutions.
Lead and manage a staff of service workers.
Responsible for the performance of work, contract compliance, and quality control.
Serves as the leader and primary point of contact for multiple task orders.
Works closely with the Government's COR, other Government management personnel, and customer agency representatives.
Develops and defines acceptance criteria for all project phases and key deliverables. Closely monitors critical milestones and deliverables.
Ensures project stays aligned to the strategic goals and delivers the planned and stated benefits.
Provides technical guidance, support, coordination, and oversight to project staff preparing written project documentation.
Collaborates with various groups and multiple client organizations.
Identifies and analyzes project risks and prepares risk response plan.
Proactive communication of risks to concerned stakeholders.
Identifies and ensures resolution of all project level issues.
Manages all communications between internal stakeholders, clients, and third parties.
Ensures preparation of various status and progress reports with metrics for various stakeholders.
Ability to understand, analyze, and present data to internal stakeholders, clients, and third parties.
Aligns all project components and groups to ensure project success.
Fosters a high-performance team environment where diversity is valued, and people are treated with respect and dignity; applies innovative and effective management techniques to maximize employee performance.
Mentors junior staff.
Ensures compliance with all quality, regulatory, and security processes.
Serves as a safety and quality point of contact, able to provide inspections and training.
Able to provide business development tasks.
Other duties as assigned by management.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related field
In lieu of degree, six (6) or more years of a professional-level work experience in program management, project management, or related field
Experience in change management, process improvement, and data analytics
Experience with Federal contracting
Ability to pass background checks by various Federal Agencies (e.g., DOD, DHS, FAA, etc.) to obtain security access badges
Valid Driver's License with clean driving record
Thorough understanding of Project Management, Organizational Development, and Organizational Behavior practices, processes, standards, etc. and their impact on project activities
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Preferred Qualifications:
MBA degree
At least five (5) years' experience in a leadership position working for or within the DoD
OSHA 10
OSHA 30 Training Certificate
One (1) year related experience, clinical cleaning experience desired

Frequent sitting for prolonged periods of time, using hands/fingers requiring dexterity and coordination to handle files and single pieces of paper, reaching with hands and arms for items above and below desk level, talking, hearing, and seeing (up close, at a distance, along the periphery, with depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus); walking from place to place
Work requires computer usage with strength, dexterity, coordination, and visual acuity to use keyboard and video display terminal and other office equipment.
Minimal travel will be required.
